CIRCADIAN is a Berlin based independent publishing house. Their mission is to inscribe the imaginary into the real: they publish books that call the reader to action, and produce events in which these books can be practised and therefore to come to life. Every publication is concerned with proposing ways of stimulating embodiment and bridging the content of the book into the reader’s experience. Likewise this afternoon, will not only involve verbal discussion around their publishing practice, but will also dance and a movement as a way to further bring these ideas into being.
This event is part of a.p.'s Summer Season, which comprises of talks, readings, and performances concerned with recreation: a term that refers both to ‘leisure activities’ (think cookery, interiors, music, fashion, and dance to name but a few) and their reproduction (which is also their subversion) within different visual and literary contexts. As always, the programme features a mix of emerging and established practitioners from Berlin and beyond.
Like all our events, it is free to attend, but booking is recommended via our eventbrite.
