World of Interiors launch with Aurelia Guo and Mira Mattar

Join a.p. and Divided Publishing on Wednesday, June 1st at 7:00 PM for a launch of Aurelia Guo’s World of Interiors, featuring readings by the author and writer Mira Mattar.

Of World of Interiors, Guo writes: “In World of Interiors I use collage and appropriation to destabilise the first-person ‘I’. I also write directly about the inescapable condition of being perceived and positioned by other people. Our lives take place in time and space, meaning in history and geography, as well as in relation to one another – not just interpersonally, but intergenerationally, with all the baggage of race, class, gender and nation that this implies.”

Divided is a publisher based in Brussels and London. Past titles have included Self Portrait, a collection of essays by Carla Lonzi, London Rose | Beauty Will Save the World by Fanny Howe, and What the Fire Sees, a collection of anti-capitalist poetry, philosophy, cultural analysis, legal studies, manifesto and critique.

Aurelia Guo is a writer and researcher based in London. She is a lecturer in law at London South Bank University.

Mira Mattar writes fiction and poetry. Her novel, Yes, I Am A Destroyer was published in 2020 by Ma Bibliothèque and her chapbook, Affiliation was published in 2021 by Sad Press. Her first collection of poems, The Bow, was recently published by The 87 Press. She lives and works in London.
